Driving down County Rd 75 from Buffalo, Texas, we saw a sign on the main road for Siloam Cemetery. We made a quick U-Turn and drove a while until we got to another sign for the cemetery. This took us down a pebbled one-lane road for about a mile or so. The road dead ended at the cemetery. Oddly, you can find a basketball hoop in the grass-covered parking area outside the fenced-in cemetery. It only cost $25.00 to be buried there, based on the sign.
The oldest marked burial is for Lillie D. Page, July 10, 1882. I didn’t see hers or photography it bu I did find her brother Hugh Jefferson Page and Mary Isabelle Page, which is Hugh’s daughter.
